Build-Your-Own Night Stand

The night stand is a wonderful project to learn furniture construction. You will start with rough sawn planks and end with a beautiful night stand (435 x 280 x 650mm) that you’ll be so proud to show off to family and friends. This is perfect as a bedside companion while it can hold precious items in the drawer and cupboard.

 

In the process, you’ll learn carcass construction, drawer construction, and frame and panel door construction. You will also learn how to join wood along its edges to make wider planks, dovetail joint, and dado joint. With this knowledge and a bit of practice, you’ll be able to construct your own cabinets.  This course covers the following:

 

Machines:

• Mitre saw

• Jig saw

• Jointer/ thicknesser

• Table saw

• Router

• Trimmer

• Drum sander

• Drill press

• Orbital sander​

Time Commitment: 

Approximately 4 to 5 sessions, 3 hours each. You can select which dates you prefer to come (dates valid for 1 month)
